In my sincere effort to wrap my head around this new Sleigh Bells record/hype I find myself trolling around the underbelly of the strange land of new wave 8-bit techno. I come thusly to the amazing sounds of Baltimore’s Talk to Animals - a one-woman tour de force of hard beats and ear candy melodies mixed teen-girlish vocals. I don’t know why it feels like a guilty pleasure to listen to it, but I’m capitulating to the head-bobbing, hip-shaking pleasure centers. Someone sign this girl.
